Car parking is available at both sites. At Derbyshire Outdoors, site 1,  folks who are unsteady on their feet or wheelchair users can drive to the picnic area.

At site 2 , Shinning Cliff Woods there are two parking areas. One at the wood margins, from there it is a ten minute walk into the wood. This site is not suitable for wheelchair users or those who find walking difficult.

There is also a parking area in the wood.  It is accessible down a track. Two wheel drive vehicles can carefully drive there. I have driven along it in my VW van. The parking area has hard standing with some level places for campervans. Caravans are not allowed.

The car park is shaded. From the car park there are two camping sites with fire pits. One is uphill, The Upper Site. A lovely secluded site, smaller trees with plenty of open spaces and sunlight if the sun is shining.

The main camping area is downhill. Large mature trees with several pitches to choose from. There are some sunny spots depending on the time of day.

Below this site there is a small lake.

Whichever site you use you have to carry your gear. We provide a wheel barrow and a trolley.

Wild wood Adventure Camps has permission for up to four vehicles to use the car park.
